Answers, before you have to ask

Everything clients ask us most, in one place. If yours is not here, call +1 (832) 610-2158. A coordinator picks up, not a menu.

Still have a question?

Odd vehicle, tight deadline, or a route with complications? A coordinator can price it properly over the phone.

Shared enclosed transport typically runs $450–$1,050 for short regional moves and $1,650–$2,700 coast to coast. A dedicated single-vehicle truck is roughly double. Route, season, vehicle size and timing all move the number, and your coordinator confirms an exact rate before you commit.

An enclosed trailer carries two to six vehicles instead of eight to ten, uses more expensive equipment such as lift gates, and carries higher cargo insurance. You are paying for fewer cars per truck and a meaningfully higher level of protection.

Yes. We quote what specialist carriers are actually accepting on your lane, not a low number designed to win the booking. Nothing is added at pickup. If your details change, such as a non-running vehicle or a new address, we re-quote before dispatch.

A booking deposit secures your carrier once one is assigned. The balance is typically due at delivery. Business accounts can be set up on net terms.

Every carrier we assign holds active cargo insurance, which we verify on the load, not from a profile. For high-value vehicles we match the carrier's cargo limit to your declared value, with $1M+ policies available. Your own policy may also provide cover; it is worth checking.

The Bill of Lading and photo reports from pickup and delivery are the evidence. Note anything new on the Bill of Lading before signing, and your coordinator opens the claim with the carrier's insurer and stays on it until it is resolved.

Enclosed carriers we assign use hydraulic lift gates or extended low-angle ramps. For very low vehicles we confirm ground clearance in advance and specify lift-gate loading only.

For shared enclosed transport, one to two weeks is ideal. Dedicated single-vehicle transport can usually dispatch within 24 to 48 hours. Peak seasons, such as autumn southbound and spring northbound, reward booking earlier.

As a guide: under 500 miles, one to three days; 1,000 miles, three to five days; coast to coast, seven to ten days on shared enclosed, or four to six on a dedicated truck.

Your coordinator sends updates at each milestone and you have direct contact with the driver. Dedicated shipments include a live GPS tracking link you can share with anyone you choose.

Wash it so the inspection is accurate, photograph every panel in daylight, leave around a quarter tank of fuel or 30–60% charge for an EV, remove personal items and toll tags, and note anything unusual about starting or loading it.

We advise against it. Cargo insurance does not cover personal property and extra weight counts against the trailer. Factory items such as a car cover, charging cable or tool kit are fine.

Yes. We assign winch-equipped enclosed carriers and confirm whether the car steers, rolls and brakes, so the right equipment arrives.

Spring Auto Trans LLC is a licensed vehicle shipping company. We do not own the trucks ourselves. Our job is to choose the right specialist carrier from a vetted network, verify them, and stay accountable for your shipment from quote to handover.

No. Plenty of our customers ship a premium daily driver they simply want looked after. If you would rather your car travel enclosed, with a coordinator who picks up the phone, we are a good fit.
